Stars and Train Cars

Another project for my 300 level Drawing Studio course. I wanted to do a landscape that relied slightly more on pattern than on reality, but still possessing some 3D rendering and a sense of space (harr harr *elbows*). I also wanted it to be evocative of a story, but not necessarily any particular one. I guess I just wanted an image that the viewer could be inspired by, in some sense. I have my own mental narrative to go with this picture, but I'd rather have people come up with their own than to simply adopt mine.

Watercolor with white acrylic highlights on a cold press watercolor paper whose formal name I cannot currently recall (even though I use it all the time XD). 10.5" x 14.5"

I've become increasingly aware of just how limiting my current cheap set of watercolors is. :I My professor, bless him, lent me his watercolor set to finish this image up.
